Headshot of Dr. Schiessl

Meet the Doctor

Board certified doctor of Internal Medicine practicing medicine in the State of California since 2001, my training began at Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1994 and I completed my internship/residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY in 2001.

In my 25 year career I have been a part of a few practices. I worked for Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco for over 10 years. I also spent nearly a decade working for One Medical in San Francisco. I owned my own practice (Pacific Horizons Medical Group) in the early 2000’s where I learned a great deal about HIV+ medicine and got my AAHIVS credentialing. After relocating to the desert in 2024 and spending time with Eisenhower Medical Associates, the decision was made to establish a new independent practice rooted in personalized, community‑focused care. I feel like I have finally found my home here in Palm Springs and I look forward to sharing my medical expertise.

Outside of medicine, interests include strength training, hiking, cooking (and enjoying) great food, and playing video games.
