I do not bill your insurance for your visits so there is no copay. You should still have insurance to pay for medications, specialists, hospital stays, labs, and imaging.

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a healthcare model where you have a direct relationship with your primary care doctor, without involving insurance for routine care. Instead of paying copays or dealing with surprise bills, you pay a simple monthly membership fee. That fee covers most of your everyday healthcare needs, like checkups, sick visits, and ongoing management of chronic conditions.
Because DPC doctors aren’t tied to insurance billing, they typically care for far fewer patients than a traditional practice. (Most of my prior practices I was responsible for around 2000 patients. I intend to see less than 300 patients in my new practice.) That smaller patient load means you get longer appointments, same‑ or next‑day scheduling, and easier access to your doctor through text, phone, or video. It’s designed to feel more personal and less rushed, giving you time to ask questions and actually understand your health.
DPC isn’t insurance, but it pairs well with a high‑deductible or catastrophic plan for emergencies or hospital care. Think of it as having a personal doctor on standby for the everyday stuff, while insurance handles the big, unexpected events. It’s a simpler, more transparent way to get primary care that focuses on you rather than paperwork.

No, medicare patients will need to sign a waiver every 2 years declining that neither you nor your doctor will directly bill Medicare for our services. Although I do not bill Medicare you are still able to utilize your Medicare coverage for all other medical care received outside my practice as well as tests, labs and medications ordered by my office.
